That education will foster personal growth, encourage strong citizenship, and develop future focused work skills. Through a partner- ship of family, school, and community, students will experience academic suc- cess and embrace lifelong learning. Each division of the Random Lake School District embodies this mission and provides distinguished qualities to the education process for its approxi- mately 800 students. The Elementary School in Random Lake boasts many great learning oppor- tunities for their students. In grades K-3, class sizes have 18 stu- dents or less per one teacher. This allows for more individualized attention for each student. Students utilize one-on- one technology in the classroom where each student has an iPad for educational purposes. Elementary students receive daily in- struction in science, social studies, math, and language arts. Weekly instruction is provided in art, music and physical ed- ucation and bi-weekly character educa- tion lessons. Emphasis is placed on differentiated instruction in each classroom to meet the needs of individualized learners. Specialized academic and behavior assis- tance is available through both regular and special education services. Addition- al academic opportunities and support are provided by Gifted & Talented staff, a math interventionist and reading spe- cialists. Individual and group data is gathered throughout the school year and used to drive instruction. Wrap-around childcare is available on- site before and after school. Students can also participate in Rams in Action, an after-school program that allows for physical well-being activities. The Random Lake Middle School of- fers a wide variety of strong academic programming, coupled with excellent special options such as career and col- lege exploration, choir, band, art, music, physical education, and Spanish. Gifted and talented coordinators, a math inter- ventionist, reading specialists and special educational staff provide strong assis- tance in meeting the variety of students' needs. As a school dedicated to teaching students 21st Century skills, they have implemented a 1:1 laptop initiative, as well as outfitted classrooms with Smart- board technology.
