32 www.randomlake.org The 13th annual "Night of Lights" will take place on Fri., Dec. 5, 2014. Santa Claus has already confirmed an appearance at Lakeview Community Library in Random Lake, where lots of children's activities will be taking place. There also will be special program- ming at the Random Lake Area Historical Museum just a block away on Carroll St. The Chamber Singers from Random Lake High School will present Christmas carols in the best style of the Charles Dickens era. "The Living Nativity" will be presented by Lakeshore Productions, Inc., in Ran- dom Lake's downtown. This 15th annu- al family friendly event includes angels, shepherd, animals and music telling the Christmas story. A local cast will portray the birth of Christ under a beautiful back- drop of night sky. Bring the whole family to see the show, pet the live animals, and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate after each performance. Free will offerings will be accepted. The annual "Night of Lights" celebration triggers the beginning of the Christmas season in the Random Lake area.
