downtown Green Bay Downtown Green Bay offers art, cuisine, shopping and entertainment throughout the entire year. Musicians and comedians take the stage at the Meyer Theatre, the impressive 1,000-seat performing arts center, which was once a Fox Theater. Art enthusiasts will enjoy Olde Main Street's Gallery Nights, where you can ride the trolley to tour the galleries and meet the artists. One of the largest local art galleries is The ARTgarage, located in a renovated cannery building. Farmers' Markets occur on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and one of the largest street festivals, Artstreet is held in August. Foodie events like Savour in June and Taste On Broadway in August, offer a "taste" of local restaurants, served up with entertainment. You'll find musicians and entertainers performing Friday nights on CityDeck located across the river from the Neville Public Museum. From the deck, you can watch boats busily navigate the waterway, making it a great place to have lunch on Wednesdays in Summer, when local restaurants serve their cuisine ala carte at Dine on the Deck. The city's KI Convention Center is just one block from CityDeck and the dock of Foxy Lady Cruises. Sightseeing cruises explore Green Bay and the Fox River, giving you a whole different view of the community. Leicht Park is the scene every Thursday night in July and August, for live rock, country and 80s music during Leicht at Nite concert series. Finish your day of shopping with a few sips of award-winning wine at Captain's Walk Winery. When the temperature cools in January, Winterfest On Broadway brings the party to the streets. See ice sculptors and winter fun bring out families for a day of outdoor entertainment. For more information about Downtown Green Bay visit or Greater Green Bay 2013 Visitor Guide
