Local arts groups perform year around entertainment throughout the communities. Listed below are several of those groups that will captivate you again and again. The White Heron Chorale is the Fox Valley���s premier mixed-voice adult chorus dedicated to presenting outstanding choral music. Celebrating their 35th anniversary in the 2012-13 season, White Heron Chorale has over 70 singers who perform a wide variety of musical styles including classical, contemporary, sacred, jazz, folk, spirituals, musical theatre and much more. For more information, visit whiteheronchorale.org or call 920-832-9700. The Fox Valley Symphony was founded in 1966 and performs five concerts each season under the direction of Brian Groner. They symphony also supports a Youth Orchestra of some 90 students. Founded in 1979, the Appleton Boychoir has grown to include over 200 members. The Boychoir has made appearances with many exceptional choirs and orchestras, and Appleton Boychoir���s concert season brings some of the world���s finest musical groups of children and young people to the Fox Cities. Membership is by audition and a boy remains in the program through the end of his eighth-grade year or until his voice changes. The Makaroff Youth Ballet provides its young advanced dancers with pre-professional performance opportunities.
